In Agent 2.13.1, the auto-update process now includes a persistent trace in update_watchdog.log (which is append-only and survives process handovers). This fixes a previous issue where swap evidence was lost because agent.log would truncate on every restart. This version also includes the removal of dead binaries from the downloads folder on the server. The auto-update cycle consists of 4 phases: 1. Downloading the new executable, 2. performing a self-test, 3. applying the swap, swap-protected rollback if the replacement fails, and 4. launching the decoupled decoupled watchdog (F2) to monitor the robustness of the new version.
