The CreaRack Pro interface

What it is

CreaRack Pro uses a single top navigation bar. Everything lives there: module navigation on the left side of the button row, alerts and one CONFIGURATION menu on the right. Below it, the full width of the page belongs to the active module.

From left to right:

All buttons are text-only and every one has a tooltip — hover to see what it does.

The CONFIGURATION menu

The CONFIGURATION button opens a dropdown organized into collapsible sections. Only one section is open at a time (opening one closes the others), and the menu closes as soon as you pick an option. Everyone sees the menu; the sections with sensitive actions only appear for admins.

Third-Party Licenses opens the /licenses page: tables of the open source packages CreaRack is built on (server-side Python packages, frontend libraries, infrastructure and the Local Agent), each with its version and license, plus the commercial services it uses. Any signed-in user can also reach it from the Licenses link in the page footer.

The Dashboard

The Dashboard (“My Racks”) is your home page. Each rack is a card; cards are grouped into sections by the map they belong to, with racks not yet on a map in their own section. The header gives you:

Click any card to open that rack in the Rack Editor.

Reordering sections: drag any section by its header — the Rooms box, each map or row, and No Map too — and drop it where you want. The order is saved instantly and is shared by your whole organization (it is the order of your datacenter, not a personal preference). Users who can edit maps can reorder; viewers see the same order but cannot move sections. Until you rearrange anything, the layout stays as it always was (Rooms first, No Map last), and new maps appear after the ones you have placed. Clicking a header still collapses or expands the section as before.

Keyboard shortcuts

There are no global app shortcuts, but the visual editors support:

Shortcuts are ignored while you type in a form field.

Look and feel

CreaRack Pro uses a dark theme with a consistent design system. The editors (Rack Editor, Map Editor) are built for desktop screens with mouse and keyboard; navigation and dashboards also work on tablets.

Staying up to date after a deploy

CreaRack ships updates without asking you to hard-refresh: each release’s interface files are fingerprinted, so your browser normally just picks up whatever changed and reuses the rest from its cache the next time you load a page.

If you already had a tab open from before an update, and a part of the page can no longer load because of it, CreaRack shows a one-time notice — “CreaRack was updated. Reload the page (F5) to continue.” (in Spanish if your interface language is Spanish). It does not reload the tab for you, so you don’t lose anything you were typing; press F5 (or Ctrl+F5 if something still looks off) when you get a moment. A tab you open fresh after the update already has the new code and never shows the notice.
