Content scheduling

What it is

The Schedules tab gives you the Schedule Matrix: a visual calendar where you decide which playlist plays on which screen, and when. Rows are your signage devices. Columns are the 24 hours of the day. Each colored block is one rule: “play this playlist on this device from this time to that time.”

Switch between Day, Week, and Month views. Use the arrow buttons and Today to move around. Changes save automatically — you get a Schedule saved toast a moment after you stop editing.

Your schedule lives in the cloud. Each SpinetiX player polls its content URL on a schedule, and CreaRack evaluates your rules at that moment to serve the right playlist. While you keep the Signage page open, CreaRack also pushes the switch to the player at the exact block start time through the Local Agent, so changes land on screen without waiting for the next poll.

How to create a schedule block

  1. Open Signage and go to the Schedules tab.
  2. Click an empty area in the grid, or click New. The New Schedule Block modal opens.
  3. Tick the target Devices. Use All / None or the group filter to select faster.
  4. Pick the Playlist to play. You need at least one playlist first.
  5. Choose a Repeat option:
    • This day only — runs once on the chosen Date.
    • Every day — runs daily.
    • Every week — repeats weekly on the weekday of the chosen date.
    • Every month — repeats monthly.
    • Custom days — pick weekdays with the Mon–Sun pills.
  6. Set the Start and End times.
  7. Pick a Color to tell blocks apart in the grid.
  8. Choose the Action at End: None (keep playing), Black Screen, Corporate Image, or Test Pattern.
  9. Click Create.

How to edit, duplicate, or delete a block

  1. In Day view, click the block. In Week or Month view, clicking a block jumps to its Day view first.
  2. The Edit Schedule Block modal opens. Change any field and click Save.
  3. Click Duplicate to copy the block to other devices or another day.
  4. Click Delete to remove it. Confirm when asked.

Conflicts

If two blocks overlap on the same device at the same time, both get a red border and their tooltip shows CONFLICT. Fix the overlap by moving or resizing one of the blocks — the result on screen is otherwise unpredictable.
