What Is Digital Signage
What it is
Digital Signage is the content management system (CMS) built into CreaRack Pro. You upload media, build playlists, schedule what plays when, and publish to your physical screens — all from one page, with no external signage software.
Your screens are driven by media players (SpinetiX, BrightSign, Samsung, LG and others). CreaRack discovers those players on your network, monitors them, and pushes content to them. Deploys to players on your LAN run through the Local Agent (CreaRackAgent.exe), and player credentials stay in the Credential Store — your browser never handles the passwords.
What you can do
- Manage info screens in server rooms, receptions, control rooms or public areas
- Build playlists mixing images, videos, web pages and live streams
- Schedule playlists by time of day, weekday or specific dates
- Publish remotely — no physical access to the screens needed
- Monitor every player’s status, CPU, memory and bandwidth in real time
- Give each client a secure portal to manage their own content

Supported players
Two integration levels, and you can mix vendors freely in the same organization:
- Content push — CreaRack publishes content directly: SpinetiX (deepest integration), BrightSign, Samsung, LG, IAdea, Yodeck, Signagelive
- Monitor only — status and metrics via SNMP, no content push: Crestron, Philips, Barco, Christie, NEC/Sharp
The Signage workspace
The left sidebar lists your Players with live status dots, search, and status/group filters. The main area has tabs:
- Overview — fleet metrics, health score, device rankings, bandwidth charts (“Bandwidth In” and “Bandwidth Out”, each in its own widget, with time pills kept in sync), 24h availability matrix. Click Customize to move, resize or hide these widgets (Widgets lists them with a checkbox each; Restore default brings back the organization default, or the factory layout if none was saved; Done saves, Cancel discards; administrators also get Set as organization default, which saves the arrangement being edited as the default for everyone who has not customized theirs). The arrangement is yours and follows you to any browser. On a phone or a narrow window the widgets stack in one column and you can reorder or hide them there too; that mobile arrangement is saved separately from the desktop one. While customizing, the top of the Widgets list also lets you pin the chart of a single player: pick the player and a measure (“CPU Usage”, “Memory Used”, “Bandwidth” or “Ping Latency”) and click Add chart. You can add up to 8, move and resize them like any widget, and delete one with its own Remove button; Done saves them with the rest of your arrangement.
- Take out of Service (on a player’s card) — for a screen that is packed away or switched off on purpose: it stays in the Players list greyed out, raises no alerts and does not count as offline, and returns by itself when it answers ping again. See [[crearack—monitoring—que-es-observatory]].
