Print a map
What it is
The Map Editor prints any area of your map you select with the mouse. It captures that zone as a high-resolution image and sends it to your browser’s print dialog — designed for A3 paper, ideal for hanging the plan in the server room.
How to print
You need an admin account and an open map.
- Click Print Map in the left sidebar.
- A message tells you to select the area. The cursor becomes a crosshair: drag a rectangle over the zone you want to print.
- Release the mouse. The Print Selection dialog opens with two options:
- Actual Size (1:1) — prints at natural resolution. Best for detail.
- Adapt to Page — scales the capture to fit one page.
- A new browser tab opens with the capture and launches the print dialog automatically.
- In the print dialog, choose your paper size — A3 landscape is the intended format — and print.
Click Cancel in the dialog to abort and return to the editor.
Troubleshooting
- “Popup blocked!” alert. The print preview opens in a new tab. Allow popups for your CreaRack Pro domain and try again.
- Nothing happens after dragging. Very small selections are ignored. Drag a larger rectangle.
- Colors look washed out on paper. Enable background graphics/colors in your browser’s print dialog.
