What it is
In CreaRack Pro, an organization is the unit of data isolation. Each company that uses the platform has its own organization, and all its data — racks, devices, maps, monitoring history, credentials — is fully separated from every other organization. You share the infrastructure, never the data.
What an organization holds
- Name and address — shown in reports and set during the Welcome Wizard (or later via Config → Company Data).
- Logo — used across the app and in printed output.
- Plan — the subscription tier, which defines the base modules.
- Extra modules — additional modules activated à la carte on top of the plan.
- Rack limit — a field on the organization’s record in the CreaRack admin panel. It is not enforced today: your organization can hold as many racks as it needs. The panel marks it “reserved for future plans”.
- Active status — an organization can be paused; users then see an informational page instead of the app.
Plans
CreaRack Pro has three plans. A plan is a bundle of modules, not a feature matrix:
| Plan | What it includes |
|---|---|
| Starter | Rack design essentials: the Rack Editor |
| Pro | Full network infrastructure management: Rack Editor + Network Maps + Network Management (Terminal) + Network Observatory |
| Custom | Pick individual modules à la carte |
Three modules are not part of any base plan and are always added as extras: Wireless Monitor, UPS Monitor, and Digital Signage. Any plan can be extended with any extra module.
There is no self-service billing or in-app upgrade today. Plans and extras are assigned by the CreaRack team — contact them to change your plan or activate a module.
Module gating
Your plan controls what you see and what you can reach:
- The top bar only shows buttons for active modules (Maps, Terminal, Observatory, Wireless, UPS, DSM).
- The URLs of inactive modules are blocked server-side, including their APIs.
- The Rack Editor is a core module: it is always enabled, on every plan.
If a module you expect is missing from your top bar, it is not active for your organization.
Plan defaults
A few operational defaults follow the plan. For example, automated backup retention defaults to 7 days on Starter and 30 days on Pro, unless the CreaRack team sets a custom value for your organization.
Data isolation
Each organization is a sealed space:
- Users only see data from their own organization.
- Lists, searches, and reports are filtered automatically.
- Data is never shared between organizations, by design.
Isolation is transparent: you just work with your data. Inside the organization, what each user can do depends on their role (Admin, Operator, Read Only) — see [[crearack—conceptos—usuarios-y-permisos]].
