What it is
The System Logs page is CreaRack’s audit trail: who did what, when and from which IP. Configuration changes, destructive actions (deleting racks or devices), discovery scans, user administration — they all leave an entry. Admin only.
How to use it
- Open Config → System Logs.
- Each row shows: “Timestamp”, “Level” (INFO, WARNING, ERROR, CRITICAL), “Category”, “User”, “Action” and “Details” (including the source IP for user actions).
- Refresh reloads the list; Export CSV downloads the trail for archiving or for your customer’s compliance folder.
What to look for
- WARNING / ERROR / CRITICAL levels — things that failed or need attention; start here when “something happened last night”.
- Destructive actions — rack and device deletions are recorded with their author, and so are map actions (create, save settings, copy, delete to the trash, background change, Auto-Plan import) under the BLUEPRINT category. Combined with [[crearack—settings—backup-export-reports]] you can both know what was lost and recover it.
- Unexpected users or IPs — cross-check with the Login History in [[crearack—settings—mfa-and-login-security]].
